Q. Can I use Easy Crown Molding on textured ceilings?
A. If the ceiling has a light texture, the 4″ and 4 1/2″ molding will work better than the 2 1/2″ because there is adhesive on the bottom edges as well as along the top. The adhesive on the 2 1/2″ molding runs along the top edges only. Regardless of which molding you choose, we recommend running a bead of caulk along the top and bottom edges to aid the adhesive in holding the molding in place. If your ceiling has a heavy texture, we recommend using LocTite Powergrab along with the 3M adhesive that we supply. You will want to be sure to remove the existing adhesive backing before applying the Powergrab.
Q. Can I paint Easy Crown Molding and the Easy Door Crown?
A. Yes, you can paint all of our products. For best results, prime the molding prior to painting. There are spray primers on the market that work very well. After priming, paint with water-based paint.
Q. What type of adhesive does Easy Crown Molding use and how long will it last?
A. Easy Crown Molding uses a high quality 3M acrylic based adhesive. There are two main types of adhesives, rubber based and acrylic based. The main difference between the two is that rubber based adhesives, like what you will find on masking tape will dry out over time, while acrylic based adhesive’s bond will get stronger over time.
Q. Can I use Easy Door Crown inside and out, on windows and doors?
A. Yes you can add that finishing touch to any door or window inside or out. For outside installations we do recommend caulking and painting.
Q. What size door or window will the Easy Door Crown decorate? Do I have to tell you the size of my door or window before I order?
| A. The Easy Door Crown’s patent pending design allows you to simply adjust to length with no measuring or cutting. One Easy Door Crown will decorate a 24 1/2” to 46” opening. Two will decorate a 46” to 78” opening, such as for a double closet door.

Q. Can I end Easy Crown Molding in the middle of a room, and if so how to I do it?
A. Yes you can. In order to do this you will use one of the outside corners. This will enable you to do what is called “return the molding into itself”. This is the same method you would use if you were working with wood crown molding.
